Wedding Colour Wednesday: Shades of Pink

One major component of a wedding is the colour scheme. This is something that needs to be decided early on in the planning process because many decisions revolve around it, such as decor, flowers, bridesmaids dresses, and the list goes on. That's why I have decided to start a weekly segment called Wedding Colour Wednesday. Every Wednesday I will post a new colour scheme!

Today's Wedding Colour Wednesday features two different shades of pink in one great colour scheme.

Hot pink, bubblegum pink and silver. This colour scheme is perfect for bright summer weddings, especially at the beach. Perfect for feminine brides who adore pink. Like in the picture above, adding some other colours can help break up the pink and add another colour, but to stay true to your original colour scheme do not add too much of this.

In addition to using silver with the two colours of pink, gold is a great colour to use instead of silver to take the colour scheme from fun and flirty to modern and sophisticated.

In the wedding above, I love that the bride wears hot pink shoes. I always love a pop of colour under a white dress. The coordination of the bridesmaids and groomsmen is amazing. The bridesmaids wear a hot pink dress with black shoes, while the groomsmen wear black tuxes with just a pink flower on their jackets. This allows the men to go with the colour scheme without being too feminine or making them feel uncomfortable by wearing pink shirts or ties.

Overall, I love this fun, flirty and feminine colour scheme!
