Wedding Décor On a Budget

Weddings can be expensive. Fortunately, here are a few ways that you can decorate your dream wedding while staying on budget.

Tip #1 - DIY
This is probably the most important tip. DIY or Do It Yourself. By getting crafty and making some of your décor yourself, you can definitely save some money. There are endless ideas on Pinterest; many with instructions that can make it super easy. Get your bridal party together for a fun night of crafting.

Here are just a few ideas of décor that you can make yourself:

- spraypaint mason jars and use as a vase

- use chalkboard paint to make signs

- stamp onto paper bags for candy or gifts

- create signs in Microsoft Word and frame them

Tip #2 - Recycle Old Décor
Did your best friend just get married last month? Or is your sister getting married a few months before you? Ask them if you can recycle some of their decorations and use them for your wedding.

You can also buy decorations off of other brides online. Websites such as Kijiji and Ruffled have listings where you can buy a variety of décor items off of women who have recently tied the knot. You can even post wanted ads to let other brides know what you are looking for.

Tip #3 - Go Simple
The more simple your décor is, the less it is going to cost; it also keeps your wedding from looking cluttered or overdone. This is easiest to do if you go for a more rustic, earthy feel to your wedding. The less fancy and formal your décor is, the easier it is to get away with going simplistic and DIY. This is becoming a huge trend now as couples want to save money and be more unique.
